Hello World!
My name is Tyler Andrew Stanley and this is my very first blog post...ever. The Hello World! blog will be a work in progress and will undoubtably become useful, interesting, and inspiring to myself and all who read.
I am currently a graduate student at Concordia University working on my Master of Arts in Teaching with great aspiration of becoming the best teacher I can be. I am studying secondary education and will be endorsed in social studies and basic math.
Before I tell you what my favorite animal is I am going to give you some mind blowing information on the creature to see if you can figure it out first. Here we go...
I am the worlds largest land predator but when born, I am actually smaller than a human baby tipping the scale at about 1 pound, about the size of a rat. I'm a big eater, in my first year I can gain nearly 200 pounds and be the size of a male human. At full grown, I can dunk a basketball without jumping and pound the ground at 1,400 pounds. I live in some of the coldest places but because of my sun-trapping fur I stay a toasty 98 degrees while I'm resting. I am a great swimmer, known to swims 100 miles at a time and giving me the alias, Sea Bear.
My favorite animal is the Polar Bear (Ursus Maritimus)
I realized there is no good way to hide a picture...so much for 20 questions.
I think the header to this entry was supposed to be, "Introduction" Whoops!
